Season Set Up? - Tournaments? When? When do practices start?
We begin AAU practices towards the end of March, when most school ball seasons wrap up. We get a few practices in before the first tournaments come up the first or second weekend of April. We then play in tournaments from April-July. It is around 2 tournaments in April, 2-3 in May, 1 in June, 2 in July (based on how schedules shake out).
Foundation / FoxBall (James Fox) trainers provide skill clinic opportunities during the fall and scattered throughout the winter to give added options for our players to improve.
How many times a week do they practice?
Twice a week is the norm in season. A couple a week before the season starts to get familiar is typical, especially on weekends before the year starts. There may be an added practice on an open weekend or in-anticipation for a tournament coming up as well at times.
Where will practices be held?
Lake Mills, Wisconsin Lutheran, and Oshkosh North were our 3 practice spots for the 2023-24 season. We are always looking to find more spots to rotate to, depending on where players are coming from.
Will there be more than one team at this age group?
We will only have 1 Foundation North team, 1 Foundation South team, and 1 Davis Brothers Elite team for each age level, 12U-17U (2026-2031).
Who will be coaching the team?
Most coaches are listed on the roster for the respective teams. The high school coaching staff for DBE is Chris Siebert (Oregon HS), Steve Hicklin (Lake Mills HS), and Ryan DePouw (Greenfield). Reach out to moc.liamg%40scitelhtadnuof with any coaching questions.
